Harvest was celebrated at All Saints Church Hemblington on Sunday morning, 6th October, with a traditional service of hymns and thanksgiving for the plenty that we enjoy, reminding all of the pressing needs of so many people elsewhere. The prayers of the service reminded the congregation that all gifts ultimately came from God.
A request for donations of food, to be offered to the Great Yarmouth Food Bank, had been amply responded to by the families and staff of Hemblington School and members of the congregation.
Our little medieval church had been decorated with symbols of the harvest and flower arrangements, for which the Revd Sue Shillam expressed her admiration and thanks to all who had worked so hard to show gratitude for all we have.
